CNN AND SBS-TV

CNN NEWSOURCE DONATES CONTENT FOR EDUCATION

With SBS-TV's partnership with CNN, we aim to support future journalism professionals with the materials they need to produce compelling school newscasts.

With CNN Newsource in the Classroom, students can use videos and scripts provided by local reporters from across the country and CNN Bureaus around the world. Topics include medical, sports, business, science, technology and entertainment.

Hands-on experience and newsroom skills are invaluable to journalism students hoping to work in television news. With CNN Newsource in the Classroom, students can learn to:

  1. Produce newscasts
  2. Write stories for today’s video
  3. Produce packages using various sound elements
  4. Edit packages with reporter tracks
  5. Localize national and international stories
  6. Handle wire copy and use script and rundown info
  7. Practice editorial skills
  8. Develop and sharpen tape production skills
